Fishing tips....

Hello everyone. I am a mom of three boys who are recently very interested in fishing. I am, however, not all that in tune with everything fishing. I do the basics.... Baiting the line(learned it from YouTube) and tying the hook
On. And we have been to several different lakes without any success. So far we have been using mostly live worms. The boys are becoming discouraged because we are not having any luck. So my question is where in nj deptford area is everyone fishing and what type of bait are u using. Please and thank you!!!! Any and all suggestions would appreciated.
