HTC is definitely the way to go! Only brand smartphone I've owned and never had one crap out on me or need to be serviced or fixed. Got em wet a few times to and only one never worked again.
Also, for pics, they take pretty good ones!! Plus, selfie mode really helps. Front facing screen and 3 sec countdown. Recently I also got this selfie stick style tripod. Holds the phone steady while you line up the fish and can face either way.....
Lately I've been messing around with setting up my phone at a spot and just hitting record. I like to get a vid of the fight to go with a still shot of the fish. Unfortunately, I don't always catch while I'm filming and it drains the battery faster to film water going by, lol. But, some of the vids I've gotten are pretty cool.
