Default Transducers

I have a couple questions. I have a basic transom mount transducer to my simrad Evo2. I want to add structure scan/side scan. So I was told I can't mount it on the left side of my motor because of prop wash. And I can't mount it on the right because that's where my other transducer is. Simrad said I can mount it above the other one and offset. Would they both work good like that? Or is it better to install the basic transducer as a thru hull and then put the structure scan in its place? And does anyone know avg time of install for a thru hull transducer? Also is it likely that my transducer I have now to have a lot of growth on it already? The boat has only been in the water since May Thanks in advance
