One of the 'perks' of teaching in the same town I live in is that I get the same days off as my kiddies...with today being gorgeous out, and the first day of spring break, I got a little crazy and decided to take the tribe out fishing...So I packed up the family truckster with Bubba, Riley, and CJ and headed to Nomahegan...
We were using a variety of stuff; baby crawlers, power bait, rapalas, and spinners....First fish was a decent trout, caught him on a spinner with Help from the little guy, CJ..he wouldnt go anywhere near it, so it was hard to get a pic of him with the fish (he did most of the reeling, though)
Riley and Bubba played with the sunnies for a while, trying to one up each other for a while ...

Bite died down and the 2 youngest were getting antsy to hit the playground, and Bubba was getting more and more flustered by his lack of trout today (he outdid me 3-1 opening day on the musky) Reluctantly he agreed to pack up, when we noticed our powerbait set up had a hit...Bubba got in another 'bow, smaller but put up a good fight for our 'last horn' fish (first fish we ever caught on powerbait, ironically)
Followed up with pizza at Sun tavern, and a trip to some less crowded swings for the younger two, and some scouting of a couple other spots on the way home for bubba and me...hope to be back at it this evening
