Alright, I know I'm not the only one thats making my own stuff. Was curious to see if anyone has stuff to share. Yea, we can spend $$ to get high end gear, but when I'm pullin a fish in on my homemade stuff opposed to my more pricey gear, it definitely feels much worthier. So here's some homemade gear I rigged.
2 small poles. 1, is the top half of an ugly-stik glued into a handle of a broken pole I had, great for jigging. Obviously not parabolic, but still good flex. The 2nd is a childrens Tweety Bird pole I hacked the reel off of, sanded, then attached a legit reel to. I use this for my "slammer".
Next, is some styrofoam+duct tape hole covers/ insulators. Keeps ice from forming on hole. Also, my homemade wooden slammer I use with Tweety pole. And an ice skimmer made from a speaker cover, duct tape, and drywall metal.
And last, my bucket-top tip-up. Some wood scraps, key ring holders, a casing from a regular pen, piece of duct tape, and top of a 5gal bucket. Also has styrofoam glued to bottom for insulation.
So lets see it guys! Frugal fishing at its best! What you got!?
