I go there every spring to run my first boat trip because it is iced out pretty early. I have made many trips and can never get bit. Anyone have any success on Pompton in the very early season? I know the guys do well catching panfish from the bridge. I have joined in and caught lots of crappies and perch. Just can't get the bass or pike to bite early there.

I've done very well Crappie fishing after ice out there, bobber and jig combo.
