Pretty Little Christmas Bow!

Out on the river to day for a few hours. Hit a spot recommended by jigman just before I was going to leave this morning ...figured I never catch anything on the river and really have no idea what I'm doing so I should probably take his advice. Plus he already pointed me in the right direction last year for my first (and only ever) Brook Trout. Good call again. Managed one more than I usually catch...yes that means I caught 1...little rainbow on a good old panther martin (1/8 oz gold blade black body). Had four others follow it right to my feet but wouldn't commit....that's way more action then I usually see trout fishing for sure. Tried hair jigs for a bit as well but no love on those. Beautiful day out there, especially for December. Felt good to just get out there as it's been a while...catching anything was a bonus. Pics to prove it.
