Default Quick trip on the Big Lake

Got out with my good buddy ScowardNJ for an evening session on the Big Lake. Treacherous traffic on Rt 80 had us launching The Mugger around 6:15. Grabbed Herring from Dow's and started messing around in some deeper water. Right at sunset, Scott grabs my jigging rod and brand new, fresh out of the box jig and manages to hook up to a short Walleye on the first drop . Marked lots of fish, but nothing was happening so we moved on. Drifted herring around the points and managed to pick away and some plus sized Crappies. Highlight of the night was a pissed off Hybrid that ran completely around the boat. Scott managed to assist in lifting anchor lines, net, rods, lights, anything that could tangle, etc. before a solid net job. The bite was not spectacular, so we were off the water early. Marked fish both on the bottom and suspended, water temp at 66 degrees.
