Hit diff't sections of the river last wed, friday, sat and yesterday taking full advantage of low, clearer water. So low that its easily crossable in many spots now with water only inches deep in spots. Covered about 11 miles of river with weed edges doing best followed by shallow areas with wood/debris piles. The larger downed trees and logjams were not so good. They look perfect but fish not home. Best method was to use a buzzbait to draw strikes and if they missed, switch to a 1/8 oz spinner and throw it in the same area. This worked very well even for bass which I caught quite a few of. No monster pike but plenty of 15 to 30" fish. Most fish struck in less than a 2 feet of water. Thank god its been so dry as these keeps mosquito activity low. Only issue is yellow jackets which seem to love to make nests in the ground right at the river edge where I'm walking. Found at least a dozen along the river. Watch your step!
One bass pic got in there twice. Apologies. Do those cars belong to anybody here? If so, your in my spot. lol
