I didn't plan on hitting the river this morning, but after a quick 90 minute paddle yesterday morning with 3, low 20's inch pike landed, I hit a different section today. The water was much clearer in this section and with only fishing about an hour, it was great action.
I wound up landed 4 pike today, with 2 being about 24 inches and 1 about 28 inches. I was ready to leave the river for work, but decided to try one more spot that was about a 5 minute paddle away. Great looking water, weeds and about 6 feet deep. Second cast and I landed the best of the day at 33 inches.
The river is finally starting to clear up and the pike are hungry !!
