Made the annual trek south to Siesta Key FLA and arranged for my trip with Capt Joe Miller on Fish Galore. Was joined by Al from NJ who happened to be down in the area at same time. Started the day pulling up our bait fish near shore just outside of the Venice inlet, a few drops later and ran @ 40 miles off into 110 ft of beautiful blue water. Drop and reel fishing most of the day for Red Grouper, snappers and some pesky sharks. What we thought and hoped to be a nice Cobia at first turned out to be one 4 foot Dusky fought on light tackle for 40 mins which made for some good fighting to later be released. For the day we landed 50+ Grouper, Countless snapper, including one whopper Red Snapper that had to go back due to the regs. The Sharks were pesky and we lost several fish before they could get boated, being chomped off leaving carcasses. Great overall fishing with a captain who spares no expense to put you on fish and keeps them coming....."no rest for the weary" he says
