Rockaway River Smallies

Hit the Rockaway River in Boonton today after work. I figured it was stocked today so I might have a shot at a trout or two. Nobody seemed to be catching anything though. I tried a spinner and power bait, but nada. I thought about going back to the car for the fly rod but a guy who was nymping next to me was doing squat too.

I did hook into a whopper smallmouth, 3.......inches. A few minutes later a guy across me from me caught what I swear was the same fish on a Trout Magnet.
