Hit a lake in NNJ with a few of NJ'S no quit, never say die anglers. Myself, Rocco, Mikey, Seth, Rob and Dale set up on the grounds in hopes of landing another 40+ Pike. Not to be, the day was very slow overall with nothing much to talk about. Couple of Perch, a Bass, a Channel cat and I think 1 pickeral made it through the holes today. Ahhhhhhhhhh, it happens!!!!
I'm not done yet ya buncha HERMITS. 1 flag pops and Rocco's the closest angler to the the trap. He doesn't hesitate and sets the hook like a champion. I thought he was Sharkin' the way he ripped the line back over his head, LOL! The fish is hooked and seems to be coming in easily but not so fast, Pike takes a nice run as soon as it gets to the hole and Rocco manhandled her right back to the hole. Mikey was there for the assist and up through the hole comes a FAT PIKE, 36 1/2 inches with a girth around 22-24 inches. Damn these fish are fat this time of year. YEA BUDDY!!! All in all, a very, very slow day. The ball busting, beers, food and great friends made this a day to remember. Yea, I guess the Pike was a nice bonus as well. I'm glad that Pike wound up in Rocco's hands, he deserves it, without a doubt. Great catch buddy!!! Can't wait to get out there again!!! WHOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO-HOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO
TIGHT LINEZ!!!!!!!!!!
