Woke up super early to head up to GWL to see if I could get my Walleye fix. It wasn't meant to be, again! Arrived at the ramp at 6 am, nobody else on the lake that i could see or hear. 27 degrees at launch time and absolutely no WIND. Started in the same spots as the previous 2 trips, where everybody else has been doing very well. Guys have been getting the Eyes on jigging Raps, Binsky's and all sorts of jigs. I on the other hand cannot connect with a GWL Walleye. Actually I did today, finally, but the fish came unbuttoned. Only fish I could get to the boat were White Perch and Crappie, probably got around a bakers dozen on those. I didn't get skunked but I still didn't get what I was hoping for. I marked fish in 20-35 feet of water, Walleyes were hugging the bottom due to the high, warm sun. I tried everything in my arsenal and still came up with ZERO WALLEYE, DAMN!!!!! I SUCK!!! I even tried drifting and jigging but there was no wind for a change on GWL!!! It is what it is! Maybe I'm just in a Walleye slump, or maybe I should just give up on Greenwood. Really frustrated right now. Sorry if this post is a downer, just telling it like it is.
