Loafing was the official pace today once I got the last minute, "don't come in today." message. So I hit the water with the gf around eleven, and the frisbee just in case. Started off with a Rebel Pop-R. Fished it super slow and got a few swipes but no hookups. Switched off to a rainbow trout rapala, tried just twitchin' it, retrieve and pause, and as steady a retrieve as the remaining weeds would allow, but no love. With the weeds in mind I snapped on a small, beat-up old white spinnerbait and began pullin' it through the weeds and open pockets. Third cast in a fish finally gives it up. Yellow perch which taped out to ten inches. After that I handed over the rod. Of course there were now no takers on the spinnerbait. Switched over to a T-rigged black and purple Culprit swimtail, nothin. A wacky rigged 4" black senko, which fished admirably well given the aforementioned weeds, produced a few swipes but no hook-ups. Then the jigworm came out. Natural color 8", fished slow, fast, bounced...even re-tied and tried it weightless to no avail. So, it became frisbee time. And since this is no frisbee forum, I digress.
