Headed out late Tuesday night for a day troll at the Hudson. Not sure when we arrived cause I was asleep but as I made my way on deck a rod goes off and we have our first Longfin of the day. We fished the eastside and continued to work the area for most of the day. A small number of boats around us had Big Eye's or got the bite. A lot of boats didn't even get a touch. We ended the day with at least 10 Long Fin, 1Mahi and unfortunately for us our Big Eye Lottery Ticket was a loser. All of our bites were on naked or skirted ballyhoo's. Overall it was great day on the water and I saw the biggest shark of my life. The thing was a monster and my days swimming out there might be officially over.
