Hit my usual morris county pond for carp. 730-1130am. Much more feeding activity goin on than in my previous trips. great conditions, cooler temps, overcast, showers. First hit at 745, on my ancient 7' fiberglass light power rod (metal eyes) with 6# trilene, hooked it, felt big as hell.... took me 10 mins before i recaptured half of my line, then the fish took off at least a dozen more times...i landed it at 815, my arm was sore as hell. my new pb @ 34" and must have been 25#. By far the longest battle i've had with a fish. Sorry no pics, No camera-of course i left it on kitchen table in my morning stupor. Caught 3 more afterwards - 25", 26", 29". A steady bite all morning unlike the last time i went they turned off at 930/10.
