Gambler Saturday nite slick raiders
We headed out Saturday night with a good crowd and nice conditions . We went offshore and anchored up a mile inside of the fleet . Went one for three right away on the Gators and had a pick starting . I couldn't help but notice that a smaller boat kept drifting through our slick getting just out of casting range a couple of times . There was another small boat that seemed to move between us and the rest of the fleet doing the same thing . Every time we thought that it was going to start happening one of these guys would show up. We did manage to put a catch together is spite of being slicked continuously through the night . When we went to pick up the anchor we had some of their gear hanging in the rope where they had drifted off our bow . We had to stop hauling and try to cut out the hooks/trailing lines . I didn't get the names of these boats or I would print them here . I would like to thank them for the hooks imbedded in our anchor line and for shutting off our bite . On a side note the Bluefish were loaded with Sand Eels .
