mad gaffer fishing report sat 6/8, sun 6/9

in light of the fact that the ocean might be some what iffy because of fridays weather I opted to leave shark river and return to keyport just to get the weekend trips in. it turned out to be a good move, Saturday's trip was a charter Poblo Loius and charter really wanted a blue fish trip and boy did they get one , Poblo and the boys boated 100 fish and a few bass all of these fish were taken for food by people who know how to care for them and value them. Sunday's am trip Steve Andrews and charter chose fuke and had a fair day . Sunday's pm trip was for blues & striped bass by Ray Gustites in honor of his son Zach 18th birthday and they were not disappointed , lots of jombo blues and several big bass , the biggest taken by the birthday boy himself 30 lbs. we will be going back to shark river to resume our open boat bottom fishing starting tues through fri and sat. afternoon as well. call 732-803-6276 for info.& res.
