Chasin'tail 5/27-5/28 Dave Latz Striped Bass

5/27 - Have Dave, Jeff, and Jerry back again this year for some striper fishing. Unfortunately I wasnt able to run the trip this afternoon but had the guys out with Capt Mike today on the Jersey Key. Long story short it was a tough day out there with the south wind in the face and no bass around. Mike did some running around looking for these fish and was finally able to boat one at the end of the day.

5/28 - After some dinner and some sleep we met the guys down at my boat an set off at 530am. Getting bait was not a problem and off we went back down the beach hoping for a better day. Again beautiful conditions but the bass were no where to be found. Down south , out to the east , back up along the beach, back to the warmer water up north .. Nada but a bunch of moster blues... ran back into the bay set up on the chunk .. Gave it some extra time but we finally pulled out one keeper bass and a ton more blues.. tough fishing
