Reel Class Monday 5/13 Bass
Capt Kenny had the trip today as I was at the day job. Got off to a very early start and ran up north looking for bait - they found it but it was very spread out but they were able to get about a dozen pieces. Further up the line, Kenny found some birds working out around the 2 mile mark and great bait reads - cocktail blues were the verdict.
Back in along the beach the spoons went in, and the guys were immediately rewarded with a nice 22# bass on a white maja. That was it there though.
Kenny got a call of a troll bite waaay south, so at around 9 AM he headed down the beach. On the scene, the guys that were there had some nice big fish on the spoons, but by the time they got there, things dried up.
A couple hours of trolling with spoons and plugs - no love. Back north towards our inlet, they tried sending the live baits back in on some structure, but got another donut.
Just 1 fish for us for the day - better days are ahead!! Crew was great and had a great time despite the slow fishing!!
