Beginner Bass Boat?

I have been bass fishing from the shore since United Water Reservoirs only allow that. Now, I would like to purchase a beginner bass boat. I have absolutely no clue about a boat. I live in Bergen County. I would appreciate any help on buying a bass boat and where to go which allows boat near Bergen County. Thank you.
