Opening Day Monger Trout Report

Headed out for the opener with Wayne.

Went to a local pond... within 10 min of the start i had a huge brown on my white spinner. Good fight and when i got it to the bank seen it was a beast! reminded of my trips to ontario creeks

Thought it was going to be great... it was my only bite... but atleast it was a big one!!!

Seen a few other big browns along with some brookies... but overall was very slow... Wayno got the skunko!!!!!

Its a great program the state has with putting some larger browns ( and brook n bows in the streams fall time) spread out over the state... i love all trout but nice to see a few biggins!!! Last couple of years we caught a bunch of them in both the spring and fall.

So after only landing one fish i Met up with my father and Little Dev at a Lake by my house. It was Devons first time trout fishing... the first one he caught was a big breeder brook and then another regular size after that. Smile says it all he is hooked for life and begging to go again!!! PRICELESS!!!
