I prefer the diet Dr. Pepper as I am diabetic. Some prefer the Coke, especially if I use the Cola that from Mexico. It is made with cane sugar rather than corn syrup and it seems o cook down thicker & sweeter. I am nothing if not accommodating to my friends.
And yes, low & slow is the way to go!
