Big Unstoppable Fish On Ocean Fluking

many years ago i was out drifting with 2 other friends and all of our rods hooked up at the same time. 3 unstoppable fish, and all lines eventually broke off. 2 were bitten off just above the hook, right through steel leader. thought maybe it was a pack of sharks that came through, especially because we thought we saw shark fins at the surface in the distance. after some research we concluded it was probably a school of cow nosed rays, and discovered they actually lift their wing tips out of the water sometimes, resembling shark fins.
