![]() Mackerel - Bluefish - Sea Bass
Sunday report We had a pretty good day today catching mackerel, some bluefish, sea bass, and even a few ling. We read plenty of fish under the boat, and saw many swimming in the slick at times. The best fishing was the first part of the day when the Mackerel were biting and there were a few blue fish mixed in. We saw many blue fish swimming in the slick at times but they were not biting as good as the mackerel. We made a few moves after that and caught fish on most stops, just not quite as good as the morning Right now you are allowed to keep one sea bass per person and everyone on the boat should have had one today. They were also a few Ling caught. The pool winner was Ding Andres from Edison New Jersey with a 5 lb blue fish. There are loads of mackerel in our area and more Blue fish moving in every day. Most of the time we are near some hard bottom so we are also catching sea bass and a few ling. Saturday night report. Fishing was good last night. They caught lots of mackerel and had a good number of bluefish up to 6 lb. We read plenty of fish and saw them swimming in the slick. Night trips run every weekend. Saturday report 7/8 After having excellent fishing everyday, today, Saturday was our first slow day. We read plenty of fish under the boat, saw many swimming in the slick at times, but they were hard to catch. We saw some nice size blue fish come to the surface at one point but, they disappeared quickly. The pool winner was Shamming Kuang from plainsboro New Jersey with a 6lb blue fish. There are still plenty of Mackerel, and we read a few more Blues today than we have been. Hopefully they will turn back on again tomorrow. We are sailing open-boat everyday at 7:30AM. There is plenty of space available on all of our trips this week. We also have night trip sailing on Friday and Saturday night leaving 7:30PM - 1AM. Family Fun afternoon trips for fluke and sea bass sail from 4PM - 8PM You can purchase tickets at the dock or you can buy tickets online for priority boarding. Offshore Tuna Our first trip for tuna will sail at 10PM July 17th. There is still space available. Tilefish Our next tilefish trip sails 10PM July 18 and there is space available.
