BIG Crappie, Hybrids, local Bows! Recent stuff!

Been out and about on the local lake after work and big NJ reservoirs on the weekends. Knew the Crappie bite would explode eventually so concentrated on some spots right down the road. The Crappie cooperated on the 3 trips I’ve tried for them and it was just non-stop action all day and afternoon long. Sure there was a lull here and there. That’s when the Hybrids came into 5 feet of water 2 weeks ago. A pleasant surprise for sure. Nothing better then watching the drag dump off your Panfish rod because of an eager fish. Wound up landing 6 Hybrids on that Crappie trip. Biggest one taped out at 26 inches. Biggest Crappie of the last 3 trips went 15.25, there was more then one of those and plenty over 14 inches with consistency. The place is just a factory for big ones. It’s insane. Hope y’all have been enjoying the Spring for the most part. It’s been a dry one til this weekend. More good fishing is on the way, be patient! TIGHT LINEZ!
