Scouting mission gone wrong. Checked the ice on Friday and Saturday to see how it was forming. There is ice out there but it wasn’t much as of Sunday. Ran into a familiar face while checking things out. He had the bait I needed and I had a few hours to spare. Set up 3 tip ups in a very small safe area. The surrounding area was only 1.5 inches. So we basically fished an area 20 yards wide by 50 yards long. Very strange! Got 4 flags, landed 4 Pike. Walked off the ice at noon happy that I was able to scratch the itch!!! Pics! FLAGGGGGGG!!!
Check out the winter rainbow in the first pic. Kinda awesome!
P.S. DO NOT VENTURE OUT ON FIRST ICE ALONE! MAKE SURE YOU SPUD AND HAVE ALL THE PROPER SAFETY GEAR!
