Talking Wild Rainbows! 12/14

Well just about every river stream and Creek is flooded today from the rain and will only get worse tonight and tomorrow. I had to think for about 30 seconds to make a decision on where to fish today. There’s a couple creeks and “BROOKS” that happen to fish better after a little rain and they run clear despite the heavy precipitation. Took the beautiful hike in and hit every hole I could get to while trying to stay incognito! These fish are very finicky most of the time but the higher than normal water level had them in a feeding frenzy. They all fell for the black marabou jig twitched in some current. Landed 6 wild Bows to about 13 inches. 13 inches is a mark I’ve never hit in this little gem of a brook. It’s usually a struggle to hit the 9 inch mark but today they were all 9+. Beautiful morning in one of the most pristine areas of NNJ. There’s always something to catch in this little state, gotta love it! TIGHT LINEZ!!!
