Miss Belmar - GREAT DAY FOR BIG SEA BASS
July 14th, 2018
Last night, we had some tough fishing. We were getting reads for a whole bunch of them everywhere we stopped, but they just wouldn’t cooperate. The wind picked up throughout the evening and made the fishing conditions less than favorable. We did pick at a few nice sized sea bass and a few keeper fluke, but hoping for better luck going forward! Today we fished east of the Shark River Inlet and had excellent fishing non-stop through the day. We had tons of readings of groups of fish, which paid off today because everyone on-board limited out with some really nice big sea bass keepers, and we also caught plenty more that were released after limits were reached. After a while when everyone reached their limits with sea bass, we headed in closer to shore to try to snag some fluke, but we mostly caught some shorts that were thrown back. The ocean was calm and peaceful for most of the day until the wind picked up a bit towards the end of the trip, but overall it was a beautiful day and everyone went home happy with some nice big sea bass for dinner! While the sea bass fishing is awesome, we are hoping for the blue fishing to turn back on any day now. Sailing daily for Stripers & Blues from 7:30 A.M. – 2:30 P.M. and every afternoon for Fluke & Sea Bass from 4:30 P.M. – 8:30 P.M. Join us as we bottom fish and mammal watch and then catch the most stunning sunset on the ride home. Bring your friends, family and children. This trip is fun for all ages and a must for everyone! The Miss Belmar Princess is the largest, fastest and cleanest fishing boat in Belmar. With Miss Belmar’s 3 engines and a total of 2,100 horsepower, she is the first boat to the fishing grounds every day, and we guarantee it. No other boat comes close. Try us and you’ll see why!
