Default back on the big d

Had some time to kill, so back to the river I went. No walleye love today but got a decent perch. Caught another chub bigger than the other day. Also foul hooked a SHAD in the tail. After a good fight he popped off as I went to grab the line. They are up there! With no love from the walleye switched tactics and chased after smallies. Landed six or so and dropped as many. Highlight was getting my personal best smallie ( definitely). Taped out at 18"Had to cut short my day due to honey do list. Love exploring that river. Water was high, maybe slightly higher than the other day. All fish caught on keiteck 4" minnow and berkley swim shads. Tight lines
