Looks like the Raritan Fluke reversed course - the back of the bay is loaded with peanut bunker and fluke are below them. Caught 5 keepers and dozens of shorts, fishing with Grateful Dad and Pete this morning. We were literally just a few feet outside the Marina and began our drift. Between the Keyport Pier and the Sailboats is where most of the fleet were. WE had action everywhere except deeper water
Most fish were caught in just 9' of water. All they wanted were Peanuts. No touches on anything else. There was lots of life in Keyport HArbor - besides the thick swarms of peanuts I saw a Sea Turtle, caught one bluefish & just kept on smiling when catching fluke in skinny water
IT was astounding to catch these fluke in mid-September at the very back of the bay. Thanks again Jeff for a GRATE one, post or send pix please
