Two... two walleye! Ah, ah, ah...! The Count back in action
Had the midnight itch real bad last night...at 10 pm lol. Got to the river at 11 fished till 130 am. Early night for me. Big moon, thin cloud cover kept it at bay a bit. Not much going on. Bait seemed less than what I've been seeing. Minimal to zero surface activity aside from the huge, wet beaver (giggity) flopping and splashing. I didn't even see a single carp! Nonetheless, I fished...
First 30 mins landed an 18" walleye on a plug. Hit light and fought like a wuss. Water temps prob sapping the energy reserves. Quick mouth pic and released.
20 min later, same plug, slightly larger fish in fast water. It kinda just nestled down in the current and came in with little fight. Fish was 20-21".
Saw a few others but they weren't buying what I was selling. It was a nice night though. Nothing big but action regardless. Pics below.
