9.9 mercury

I have a 2009 9.9 Four stroke. The engine has never been run and has never had oil in it, Mercury calls for 10/30 Mercury or Quicksilver oil. My question is can anyone recommend any other oil that is more readily accessible, say Mobile 1, Pennzoil or another brand. Also has anyone used a fully synthetic oil.
