Got my first tuna!
Last month I had gone out on a sponsor's boat, but it was a bust for tuna, although we cleaned up on the mahi.
Friday morning got an invite to go out on a private boat, headed out Sunday morning to the tuna grounds. Must have been 400 boats out there.
First fish on at 11:30pm, went about one a hour for the next 4 hours, then was quiet until around 8:00am, bam...3 fish on, got 2 in the boat, one broke off.
Ended up with 6 yellowfin, 1 longfin, 13 mahi.
My back is killing me and I can't wait to do it again.
