My daughter and I arrived at the boat in a thick fog. We left the inlet in a thick fog and headed east. Today we were armed for anything from snappers to anything larger. Glad we brought the lightweight gear.
Arrived to the scene of the crime and tried jigging with no love. Switched to bait and game ON (Thanks to Bill for the hooks!). We landed so many of these mackerel it was just crazy at times. Reminded me of a bluefish trip with fish over the rails and hitting the decks. What was most impressive was the HUGE schools of fish that would come under the boat, which you could see, resulting in nearly everyone hooked up! We had a blast not just fishing, but we were catching today!
Rods bent over, fish on and on and on, my daughter commented that it was a great trip on the way home. Building memories together.
