Default 5 Big-Eyes to 240# & Close to 50 Yellowfin - 3 Trips/30 Hours

Capt. Deane Lambros on the 48 Canyon Runner along with Capts. Evan Millas and Kevin Muller have had a pretty good2 days – in fact the Canyon Runner TEAM has not faired too bad and really are enjoying flat out the best early season canyon fishing ever. The two boats caught 3 big-eyes Wednesday into Thursday and Capt. Deane turned right around with the Peter Bradley charter Thursday and nailed 2 more big-eyes. Making it 5 big-eye in about a 24 hour spam for the Canyon Runner TEAM.

They are on their way home right now then headed out again so I don’t have great details but they are fishing the southern canyons in 71 degree water around the pilot whales off the edge and the bites are coming mostly late in the day although Capt. Phil had his at 730am. Yesterady’s fish were 150, 210 & 240 pounds respectively. No idea on today’s fish. Yesterday’s were caught on Joe Shutes with ballys on the 48 Canyon Runner and the 60 Canyon Runner caught theirs on a Canyon Runner Yellowfin Runner.

Hopefully the weather holds and the fishing holds – if you aren’t sharking this weekend get offshore.

To celebrate what is flat out the best early canyon season we’ve seen we are offering 20% off our Spreader Bars and Dredges – check them out at www.canyonrunner.com then email or call in (732-842-6825) your order. The boys are trolling 6 bars and 2 dredges in their pattern so while the bites are on lures/ballys you can bet the 250 squids trolled behind the boat are raising the big-eyes.

Oh yeah – Capt. Deane’s coming back with 15 nice 35-50 pound yellowfin on this trip and caught around 30 last trip although on that trip Wednesday the fish were mostly smaller with about 12 being 25-40 pounds.
