Party boat Angler better ling today next trip Thursday

It was a calmer ocean and the water temperature was up to 51 degrees today and we had much better ling fishing. Mostly bigger fish up to 4 pounds today with some tog, sea bass and cod going back.

I have been doing this for a long time and can not csll it good fishing as i remember 50 to 100 per man but it is better ling fishing than what has been going on else where. The average guy had 8 to 10 fish which means 16 to 20 ling fillets going home and thats some fine eating.

The game is changing with the full moon and more fish moving in. The fish were full of bait fish, showing they were on the feed and sea bass were mixed in.

I am sure we will have some good fishing in the next few weeks before fluke opens.

We are not sailing the next 2 days to give the fish a chance to move in and there have not been many people ready to jump on the ling but that will change.

Gulp and clams both worked. Vinny won todays pool with a 4 pound ling.
