Hatchery trucks at Farrington Lake

I was on Riva Ave. by Church Ln. today and saw the hatchery trucks at the ramp and thought they were stocking some fish. So I stopped to talk to them and found out they were trying to net some Pike for brood stock. They said they could not find any Pike today only a lot of Crappies and Sunnies. Some of the lake is open water but some sections are still iced up. Maybe that's why they could not find the Pike I don't know I didn't ask...Charlie
