Default Slammed the flat ones out of Barnie....

with good friend, Capt. Bill on his Maine Coaster.....

Secret spot not sooooooooo secret these days......lots of boats, but plenty of life, and no complaints about size either....

Was funny....I watched a lot of boats bring up shorts....never saw much net work going on, even on the party boats, but I believe its because these fish are grouped tightly together on small pods of bait, and the trick is short, tight, drifts once you find them.

Prolly managed 50-60 fish in 5 +hours.....boat traffic died out when conditions died out but we stayed behind and had the fish to ourselves.

It was my first time out with Bill but we started off in the general area of where, and how, we left them last year.

Things to note:

1. Green spros and the usual teasers outfished pink and white....
2. Caught only 2 small sea robins but robin belly was a most excellent addition to the teasers and really seemed to get things going
3. No jigs were killed or lost in the making of this charter, which, of and by itself, is a major miracle

Heard of MUCH better fishing up North so you guys should prolly stay north of Ortley.....

JJ
