Got out of work early today and headed to the muddy, murky always stained river. Went over to polish up on my Pike game and hooked 3 within 25 minutes. First Pike, small, like 24 inches. 2nd Pike, a little better, 30-31 inches or so.3rd Pike about the same size as number 2 and quickly released. Good, quick action on the fish with teeth today. Acrobatics were amazing. These damn Pike think there part Tarpon, LOL! Good times!
I keep casting and casting and heres this RIVER MONSTER stalking my Spinnerbait. Crazy fish followed it 2 times and then WHAELD it on the third try. What kind of fish you asked? A BIG OLD CARP! YEA BUDDY!!!. It's a good one for this stretch of river. So in slow motion I twitch the bait and the fish inhales it on the 3rd try. It hit out of anger and aggression, I was truly AMAZED! After an EPIC muddy, slippery battle I finally get the fish landed. It took a while, let me tell you. Brought me back to the days of Carp fishing the Rahway 25 years ago. I'll estimate the fish to be around 25 lbs. That's my educated guess and I'm running with it. Here's a few pics of the action as it went down. Best 1 1/2 hours of the week thus far. SUPER FUN!!!
YEA BUDDY!!!! TIGHT LINEZ!!!!
