Re: Sad day for NJF... RIP LAB......
Heard the news earlier today and could not believe it. Just got home and read through all 11 pages. It is obvious that Mike made a huge impression to those who knew him by the out pour of love for him. Besides all the laughs and trips what I will miss most was his huge heart and acts of kindness. I had just contacted him on Friday about a trip but he had plans to go to devils game on that day. That was just a few days ago and now he is gone. Totally devastated as it has been a tough 2 months dealing with health issues with parents and now the loss of 2 friends in the past 2 weeks.
Tom I feel your pain as I also lost my best friend who i was friends with since 3rd grade 2 weeks ago after a 20 month battle with brain cancer. Spent the last 2 weeks with him taking care of him as he could not function anymore. Will never understand why bad things happen to good people. I had picked up an old harnell rod with wood handle that i knew Mike would have loved over the winter. I was planning to get it rebuilt and was going to present it to him as a gift on behalf of njfishing members for all his time and hard work in putting together the PUOSU over the past few years. Who could have imagined that he would not be with us for me to present him this rod. My prayers are with his friends and family. Please keep me in mind if any of his friends and family need ANYTHING ALex MVP Tom I feel your pain as I also lost my best friend 2 weeks ago after a 20 month battle with brain cancer.
