Papa's Angels III - Bass Limits +++ - 4/18

Well... Where to start.. Today Joe and I decided to get out and do some fishing together.. Stopped by Pete's in the morning and got some bait and then met Joe at the boat around 6:30am.. We loaded up and off we went.. Headed out to our first spot and it ended up being the only spot of the day because boy oh boy did we have a great trip!!! Dropped the anchor threw in some chum and sent out a few lines to the bottom.. It was not long before Joe hooked up with a nice healthy looking 28in bass.. As I am messing with his fish my rod goes off and I hooked up with a nice fish.. Got her to the boat and measured out to around 30in.. We then had a shot of short fish.. Around 5 of them.. Then we lost the tide.. We threw out an extra line and just decided to wait it out until the water started to move.. Well it was a great idea because we continued to hook up with fish.. Few shorts and 1 more one keeper.. Now the tide is starting to run so I chummed up a storm and it was game on.. Fish after fish.. Non stop for a good hour and half.. During this fury of fish Joe hooked up with a beast.. I reeled in all the lines so there would be no chance of getting tangled.. Joe fought the fish hard for around 5 -10 mins and once she got close to the boat both of our faces lit up with joy at the sight of a real nice fish.. Joe worked him right next to the boat and I netted her right up.. Fish came in at 41 and some change inches and 23 pounds.. What a fish!! We continued to pick away at them for until we decided to pack it in around 12:45pm.. I lost around 4 fish.. One snapped me off and others hook pulled.. Joe dropped 3 fish but It was an epic day on the water..We ended up with 10-12 shorts and around 10-12 keepers only keeping our limit, plus we both used our first bonus tags..
