Default Passaic River- Went for Pike caught a Bass....

I bought some new lures that were on clearance at Walmart a few days ago and wanted to give them a try.... So I headed out on the Passaic for about an hour yesterday (Sunday) lookin' for some Pike but ended up catching my first Bass of the year.... A nice 3 lb LM chunk.... Caught it on a jointed 7" Rebel.... the Rebel jointed lure is like a Rapala knock off only it doesnt work too well... LOL... the swimming action is horrible (no constant wiggle) and doesnt really float well and its supposed to be a floating lure that dives about a foot when retreived... So I decided to fish this lure like a husky jerk and it works incredible when fished this way.... It looks like an actual injured fish when jerk and paused... gonna go back to Wal-mart and pick up a few more in different color and sizes...

Anyway I finally popped the Bass cherry for 2013

PS. The bass hit very light and put up a very lethargic fight...
