![]() With the cooler nights we've been having the carp bite is starting to pick up. I fished this morning and ended up landing 12 fish, 6 over 20 pounds. I lost the heaviest fish of the day. It took about 100 yards of line out on the first run, I worked it half way back, then it went on another run and bent my hook straight. Most of the fish were caught southern paylake style with an oat based pack bait and puffs for the hook bait. The bite should only get better as the water cools off, though 200+ pounds of fish in one morning isn't too shabby for freshwater fishing!
