Sat:
Hit the lake at 4:45 with my daughter (10 yrs old). Worked toward the back I was looking for top water bite, she had a curly-cue jig. By 5:30 she had a bass, pickerel, crappie, and a fat bluegill...me nothing so I switched to a rooster tail. Soon the tally was 4:4 and she wanted to switch to the same bait as me...done
She landed a pickerel and THEN she caught a 200 lb MONSTER...DADDY!
Hooked me right in the bottom of the mouth just below the mouth and above the chin...OUCH!
Barb was under the skin due to the fact she was trying to cast out after hitting me in the face...off to the hospital @ 7:15 where they numbed my jaw, popped the barbed hook out a new hole and cut and remove/

I have a few puncture holes, no stitches and a small place on my cheek where the spinner part hit.
Sun:
Hit the lake at the same time as previous day, first time I have ever had to wait to launch there as there was some tournament. Picked up where I left off yesterday. Had 15 bass up to ~ 2 lbs and a few pickerel. The bite died for me around 10 am so switched to the jig and nailed 2 dozen crappie, a hand full of small whiter perch, a few yellow perch, and big bluegills. By 11 am off the lake. Not a bad day...not the best. Saw 2 guys in the back fishing crickets? with BIG bobbers nailing lots bluegills and quite a few catfish.
BTW: If you go there, DON'T take the main entrance past the archery/gun range...it is the lunar surface! Go the back way as traveling is very smooth. It will take you the same amount of time and will save your boat/tailer/equipment from bouncing around unless you go super slow and it takes longer to go this way!
