1988/89 Bacardi!!!! I used a old / 6/0 senator and 50lb ande straight to the hook!!! simple and cheap caught at least 10 every trip all summer. I think I totaled over 100 for the summer!!! Those were an honest 80-120 lb fish!!! I made enaought to buy a 50tw.I think i paid $249 for the reel with line!!! That was a nice upgrade!! I have not caught any like that in a long time!!! these little 40-50 lb I catch on bluefish gear!!! ohhh the memories!!
