55 to 61
Got out of Shark River to cold water. Started first drift in 55 degree water. Couple of shorts in 40 foot, moved to 65 foot nothing. Took a ride north to Long. Branch and finally had 58 degree, startled with some shorts and finally a keeper. Water warmed to 60 and the fish started to become more active.
In 2 hours our 4 man crew boxed 7 to 4 lbs,, 45 to 50 foot, air temp on water was cool could have used long sleeves. Pleasure having Dales and Mike as part of today’s crew. This weather pattern looking like more cold water this weekend, |

Re: 55 to 61
Thanks for the invite Henry and finding some fish, not easy with those water temps! Some of us (Mike and Dales had our limit) and of course Dales got the largest Had to if Mike and I were tied on count.
Nice day on the water for sure. Gulp color didnt seem to matter much as I used Pink, white and then Nuc Chicken. All caught but Nuc Chicken got my largest 2.

Re: 55 to 61
Nice trip guys. I was out on Tues with my 'active adult community' fishing club and it was cold on the water! Capt Henry's Honeybee on 'em, nice! It was cool that Mike's boss gave him the day off...
