![]() Hey Everyone:
It has been brought to our attention that the fight for a public boat launch ramp / access on Greenwood Lake was highlighted recently in B.A.S.S. Times, a publication of the B.A.S.S. Bass Anglers Sportsmans Society. This information reaches 48 of the lower states! Also, what we face is not unique to just our area.....there are MANY examples outside of NJ which are similar. PLEASE, as suggested in our previous post, make a few calls to legislators to solicit their support as a sponsor to S987 or A1047. The owner of this site was nice enough to include a list of all legislative contacts in the previous post. He also gave an example of what could be said to aids/office managers, etc. Remember it's more DEMOCRATS that we need, however anyone on either side is STILL more than welcome to sign on as a sponsor ......the more the better....this will push the bills through when the legislature reconvenes. Please think about attending Fish and Game Council Meetings.....voice your support for public access during the public comment period. You are all vested stakeholders....anglers who paid for licenses that help stock the lake. We now have NATIONAL ATTENTION! Thank you all for your support/input....and please continue. All of you enjoy your summer and be well. UFANJ ![]() ![]() ![]() PLEASE continue to make the calls!.... takes only a couple of minutes. |

![]() Pulled this from the fish and game council August meeting minutes. Slowly moving forward
Greenwood Lake Update: Assistant Director Barno gave a brief update on Greenwood Lake. We did see a preliminary schematic for a boat ramp at Browns Point. Both Parks and Fish and Wildlife made comments on it and some of the limitations on it are based on the percent of the pervious surface. We are working on that, and Parks has provided some additional areas where surface could be removed and the architect is taking that information and updating the design.
