Default First Albie Of 2021

Scored my first albie of 2021 (& it also being my first jetty caught albie) earlier this morning. Received some intel of an area they were in yesterday and more intel of them being south of there early this morning. Decided to go with the intel from yesterday since the tidal stage was about the same as when they turned on yesterday. Arrived at the very end of the incoming. Saw a lot of bait at first with no action. A guy who arrived just before me hooked up on his 3rd cast. Soon after I started noticing some feeds to my left, repeated casts produced no action. Went back to my original ‘rock’ and thats when things started blowing up with albies popping good just at the end of everyone’s casting range—sometimes they moved in & when they did we hooked up. At one point they were feeding heavy with a good amount of white water just beyond some swimmers. Feeds lasted for about 90 minutes before they started moving further offshore and down the beach. I left when I didn’t see anything pop up after 40 minutes. I caught mine on a #2 Deadly Dick but others caught on Epoxy Jigs and A17s.

They were on the beach again at first light this morning.

Working today but going for them again tomorrow from the beach.

Unfortunately the weekend forecast not looking to good to get out on the boat. If I was in the boat yesterday, I would have had double digits.
